Alpha Chi Omega (ΑΧΩ) Fraternity was founded by and for real, strong women. Founded in 1885, our chapter has long-standing traditions of friendship, community service, academic pursuit, leadership, and sisterhood. Our motto, “Together let us seek the heights,” is the foundation of our chapter. The women of Alpha Chi Omega strive to build up our sisters and better our community.

Since joining the University of Washington community in 1910, Alpha Chi Omega (Alpha Chi or AChiO) has been a chapter where women support one another while striving for excellence in every aspect of campus life. Recognized by their scarlet red and olive green and symbolized by the lyre and red carnation, Alpha Chis carry forward a legacy of ambition, creativity, and connection.

The chapter is passionate about advocacy and awareness surrounding domestic violence, proudly partnering with Legal Hope to support survivors and promote safer communities. Through meaningful traditions and strong bonds of sisterhood, Alpha Chi Omega continues to inspire members to lead with confidence and purpose.
