Letter From The President

Welcome to the Panhellenic community at the University of Washington! My name is Riley Kate Higgins, and I am honored to serve at the 2026 Panhellenic President.

Panhellenic is a vibrant and supportive community, with 18 unique chapters and over 1,800 members, all committed to sisterhood, service, and personal development. Each chapter offers its own distinct experience, but we are all connected through shared goals that emphasize service and academic success.

This community holds a special place in my heart, and I truly believe it will become just as meaningful to you. Looking back on my own journey, I vividly remember the mix of excitement and nerves I felt when first joining a chapter. Stepping into a new experience, especially during this period in your life, can feel overwhelming, but I have been embraced with a community that celebrated who I was and continuously pushes me towards who I could become. Panhellenic has been essential in my growth as a leader, community member, and woman, granting me lifelong friendships and a deep sense of belonging.

There is a place in our community for you. Panhellenic is much greater than an organization, it is a community that will stand by you through each challenge and celebrate you with every success.

This is your opportunity to grow, be uncomfortable, and make memories that will last a lifetime. Know that as you embark on this journey, you are never alone. The Panhellenic community is here to support you in every step of the way. Together, we will continue to cultivate an environment where every woman feels valued and empowered. I am thrilled to watch you thrive during this amazing chapter of your life.

If there ever any questions that come up or you need support or want to chat, please reach out to phpres@uw.edu. I cannot wait to see what you will achieve here and how you will add to our community.

Go dawgs!
