Greek Pride
Greek Pride is a student-run RSO for queer members of fraternities and sororities at the University of Washington. Our goal is to create a social community for queer members and help the queer community at large through volunteer work. We meet once a week alternating between social meetings and volunteer opportunities. At social meetings, we do anything from picnicking and painting under the cherry blossoms in the Quad to screening Legally Blonde and debating Elle Woods' academic prospects. Greek Pride has committed itself to the issue of homelessness in Seattle, as queer people contribute disproportionately to the homeless population. Since then, we have formed volunteer relationships with the Roots Shelter and the Seattle Food Bank. Whether you're looking for a community to call home or an issue to face with passion, we hope you will join us at Greek Pride.
